Element Flash is operated by Element Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what data Element Flash collects, how that data is used, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

  • Account data such as your email address, password hash, display name, signup date, and account status.
  • Security and abuse-prevention data such as signup IP address, recent login IP address, anti-abuse verification signals, and approval or verification status.
  • Product data such as account settings, timestamps, chat sessions, prompts, generated responses, import and export actions, and model selections.
  • Support and communication data you send to us, including messages sent through Discord or email.

How we collect information

  • Directly from you when you sign up, log in, use the service, change settings, import chats, or contact us.
  • Automatically from your device or browser when you use the service, including technical and security-related metadata.
  • From service providers that help us run the product, such as hosting, email, and AI model providers.

How we use data

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To provide the chat product, store conversations, and return generated output.
  • To deliver email verification or approval notifications when enabled.
  • To prevent abuse, investigate suspicious behavior, enforce limits, and protect the service.
  • To maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and monitor the product.
  • To communicate with you about support, security, policy, or account issues.

Legal bases and business purposes

Where applicable, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service you requested, to protect the security and reliability of the product, to comply with legal obligations, or for legitimate operational interests such as preventing abuse and improving the service.

How we share information

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We may share data with infrastructure, hosting, database, email, and AI service providers only as needed to run the service.
  • We may share data when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, users, or infrastructure of the service.

AI and third-party providers

Prompts, conversation history, and related metadata may be sent to third-party AI providers so the service can generate responses. Those providers may process the data according to their own terms and privacy policies. Use the service with that in mind and avoid sending sensitive information unless you are comfortable doing so.

Data retention

  • We keep account data while your account remains active and for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce policies, or meet legal obligations.
